Rok:Brgr

Located in Ft. Lauderdale on 2nd St. near Sunrise cinemas, Rok:Brgr is a hidden gem. Honestly I probably would have walked right by the restaurant had it not been for the burgers walking right past me to a customer. The menu was overwhelming in a good way. Burgers with an array of meats ranging from Kobe beef to lamb and skirt steak. The skirt steal burger was half skirt steak, half angus beef, topped with grilled onions, homemade potato sticks, gruyere cheese, and chimichurri sauce ALL on a brioche bun. Now that you are thoroughly salivating let me tell you what I ordered. It was called the Cuban burger: 10oz angus beef burger topped with ropa vieja (shredded beef), Swiss cheese, pickle, and homemade shoestring potatoes on a brioche bun. I got mine cooked medium so it was still juicy. The combination of the juicy beef, the tender shredded beef, and the crunch of the shoestring potatoes was phenomenal. I surely can’t wait to go back and try something else. I saw someone next to me eating their burger with poutine French fries…mmmmm yummy…

Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven’t been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn’t it be the other way around? I don’t really want an answer. I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void. Good morning!

So, I pose a valid question this morning. What makes someone have an innate “good feeling” about the day? I woke up this morning feeling like I was unstoppable, yet I have no idea why. Maybe I should buy a lotto ticket…lol

I wonder if some sleeping gnome crawled into my brain and just turned on the “happy” light. I don’t know but I like it. It’s all rainbows and cupcakes in my head right now.
